Installing custom themes on 6.60 firmware for dummies (cxmb plugin + ctf themes).

In this tutorial you will learn how to easily install .ctf themes. They look great compared to stock theme and at the end of this post I'll show you where to get some cool themes.


Just an example .ctf theme that I am using:

Organ Classic v3

So let's get started. You will need:

1. CXMB plugin available here

2. PSP with 6.60 custom firmware (installing cfw is explained in my other post)
3. PC

After that you have to take these steps:

1. plug your PSP to PC with USB cable
2. unpack CXMB plugin available above 

3. after unpacking move 'cxmb' folder onto memory card root (straight on your memory card)

4. create SEPLUGINS folder in memory card root (same as above)

5. in SEPLUGINS folder create file called vsh.txt (text file)

6. open created earlier vsh.txt and add following line:

ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx 1 

In this case '1' means it's enabled by default.

7. reset your PSP with VSH menu (Select-> Reset Device) 
8. now you can copy your .ctf themes to /PSP/THEMES directory
9. and after doing that just pick your favourite theme in Theme Settings.
